Loan Calculators

Three free tools: the true cost of a payday advance, the monthly payment on an installment loan, and the slack your next paycheck can actually carry.

One rule governs all three tools here: show the number a budget actually has to carry. The payday tool converts a state’s fee ceiling into a flat dollar charge and the annualized rate behind it. The installment tool prices the fixed monthly payment in the territory above the payday ceiling, where APRs run from about 6.63% to 225%. The slack tool answers the question underwriting skips: how large a repayment can your next paycheck actually hold?

Everything runs in your browser; nothing typed leaves it. When the numbers look survivable, the rates and fees table shows what your state permits, and the request form brings back a real offer at no cost.

Payday Loan Cost Calculator

Enter your amount, the per-$100 fee your state's cap produces, and the term in days. The outputs show the flat charge, the balance due on payday, and the annualized rate hiding behind it. The percentage looks steep by design: it prices weeks against a year.

Finance charge$75.00
Balance on payday$575.00
Annualized APR391%

Your state page lists the exact fee regime; the full comparison is in the rates and fees table.

Paycheck Slack Calculator

Lending underwriting confirms income; it rarely confirms that the repayment leaves room to live. This check does the second half: whatever remains of the next paycheck after essentials and other debts is the largest advance worth taking, no matter what a lender would approve.

Your slack: the affordable advance$250.00

Keep this number positive before you commit. The full method lives in the affordability guide.

Installment Loan Payment Calculator

Above the payday ceiling, credit is priced in APR and repaid monthly. Set amount, APR, and term to see the payment, everything you will have paid, and the interest portion: the three lines that decide whether an installment offer is fair.

Monthly payment$305.82
Total of payments$1,834.89
Interest paid$534.89

Typical online installment pricing runs from about 6.63% to 225% APR. The installment hub and the $1,200-$1,400 guide explain how to compare offers.

Common questions

Do these calculators cost anything?
No, all three run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, there is no sign-up, and using them never shares information with lenders.
How is the payday loan APR computed?
The calculator annualizes the fee: fee divided by amount, multiplied by 365, divided by the term in days. A $75 fee on a $500 advance over 14 days is 391% APR. The APR describes the cost of time; the flat fee is what actually leaves your account.
Which loan term should I enter?
For a payday advance, the term is one pay cycle, usually 7 to 31 days. For an installment loan, terms run 3 to 24 months. A shorter term raises the payment and lowers the total interest; a longer term does the opposite.
Why would my lender's offer differ from the calculator?
The payday calculator applies statutory fee ceilings, and lenders may price below them. Installment lenders bundle origination fees or ancillary products differently. Use the calculator as the comparison baseline and read the lender's own disclosure before accepting.
What does a negative paycheck slack number mean?
That a repayment at that size does not fit your budget, and the loan would likely start a rollover cycle. Price a smaller amount, or read our alternatives guide: credit union payday alternative loans and extended payment plans are cheaper exits.
